REMINDERS!

For many children, stopping their digit sucking habit is often just implementing some reminders.

Bandaids have long been used for quitting oral habits, but its all in HOW YOU USE THEM that is the difference between success and failure…..

Here are 3 quick tips to using bandaids or bandages;

1. Make sure your child knows that they are simply reminders – not punishment! A child who is already committed to quitting will be more likely to be compliant in wearing them than a resistant kid who is forced.

2. Let THEM apply the bandaids – they’re in control.

3. Start using them in just one setting first – perhaps school time, or even TV/device watching time. That way, your child won’t be too overwhelmed.

Good luck!

Remember – simple stuff first.
